The Macadamia Industry

The global macadamia industry is set to grow substantially in the next decade, due to increased demand for macadamia nuts for both food and cosmetic purposes. Australian growers are ideally positioned to take advantage of the increase in worldwide demand.

According to statistics from the Australian Macadamia Society, there are 800 macadamia growers in Australia, producing annual crops worth a retail value of above $994m. 80% of the Australian crop is exported.
