UAG Macadamia Facility.png

Our Facility

Our world class macadamia processing facility is located in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, home to around 70% of Australia’s macadamia growers.

The macadamia processing facility sits on a site area of 4,672 m2, with space for the expanded value-added and cold storage facility on the owned block adjoining the existing processing facility.

The existing facility is run by a staff of 6 and relies heavily on automation.

Why the Northern Rivers region?

UAG Macadamias is situated in the Northern Rivers Area of NSW (NRNSW), which historically was the original macadamia growing region in Australia, and subsequently has the oldest and most established plantations with an average tree age of 24 years.

There is also a rainfall advantage in comparison to the current drought conditions being experienced in Queensland.  The ample rainfall experienced here in contrast to droughts in other regions compliment the processors’ location.

Emerging growing areas are concentrated mainly in Queensland. UAG Macadamias will look to diversify growing regions interstate and internationally as the business develops.
